The perfect hummus

Hummus is one of my all time favorite foods and I always have chickpeas stored in my cupboards! Hummus is a Middle Eastern dish made from cooked crushed chickpeas. Hummus makes a great snack, my favorite is carrots dipped in hummus. I also love adding hummus to quinoa tabbouleh or other salads. Hummus is incredible easy to make and personally I think it tastes a million times better than the one you buy.


380 cooked chickpeas ( drained weight 230 gram)

2 tbsp tahini

5 tbsp olive oil

1 glove of garlic

2 tbsp of water ( if necessary)

The juice of half a lemon




Blend the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper in a food processor; blend until desired consistency is achieved.
