The recipe I want to share with you today is Avocado smoothie. This delicious avocado smoothie is made of avocado, banana, spinach and nut milk. Have you tried avocado in smoothie yet? Avocado gives a nice creaminess to any smoothie recipe. This smoothie is so nourishing and simple to make. Avocado are high in fiber, folate and Vitamin K. This is my favourite afternoon snack at the moment.

Ingredients:

(serves 2).

1/2 avocado

1/2 banana

A large handful fresh spinach

1 3/4 cup almond milk ( or any other milk you prefer, expect coconut milk).

honey  (optional).

Method:

1).  Slice the avocado in half, remove pit and scoop out flesh into the blender.Peel and slice the banana.

2). Add all other ingredients and blend on high until smooth and creamy. Sweeten to taste. Enjoy immediately.

  1. That’s crazy, I just made one today. Only difference is I add a green apple for sweet purposes and I used Cashew Milk, I am allergic to almonds. Some people think Avocado Smoothie and turn up there nose, until they actually taste it. 😀 Great post!

    1. Awesome! Green apple sounds delicious! I need to try that next time! I actually haven’t tried cashew nut milk yet! So true, some of my friends have been very skeptical, when I’ve mentioned avocado smoothie!

    1. I’m glad! Yes you could make a double batch and store it in an air tight container to the next day. But I would recommend drinking it straight after making it, for optimal nutrients! 🙂

  2. Hiya! Awesome post – I put avocado in my smoothies instead of yogurt to add the creamy element. One questions: you wrote “1 3/4 cup almond milk ( or any other milk you prefer, expect coconut milk);” Did you mean except coconut milk, and if so, why? I just started substituting almond milk with coconut so I’m wondering…haha 🙂
